This will be controversial, and is not meant to get anyone riled up, but rather to think for a minute. As President Bush gets ready to use his veto power for the first time to stop stem cell research, I wonder if this is for the cause of morality, or what is the real reason. I don't have a firm opinion about Stem Cell Research, because I don't know all the facts. But when I think about all the innocent civilians, women, and children that were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, in the name of stopping weapons of mass destruction, but which we ALL know was more directly revenge for 9-11. Revenge. How sweet it is, right? Vengeance, justified vengeance right?? But what did those innocent women and children have to do with our "vengeance"?? An eye for an eye?? And so if George Bush is claiming some kind of moral reason for vetoing the stem cell research bill, I have to say PuhLease...and if anyone wants to claim that it is "unpatriotic" to not go along with everything Bush does, just because he's our President, I have to remind you that President Bill Clinton had a lot of "haters" around when he was President. The personal morality of Bill Clinton was embarrassing and a disgrace, but in my opinion Bush is a greater disgrace in the value that he places on human life and dignity, and the swagger with which he exercises the power of an office to which he wasn't even elected, but rather appointed by the Supreme Court. I believe in God and love God with all my heart, and I am sick of people who try to pin your patriotism or religion or lack thereof to your support of Bush. There, I said it, I feel so much better......

I used to give Pro-Life updates to our church once a month and I did one concerning stem cell research. You don't need embryos. You can get stem cells from the inside of your nose and other places in the body that can be transplanted to any other part of the body. The whole embryo debate is worthless-but no one will enlighten the proof from Denmark. They discovered this over 5 years ago. So I have to wonder, is it a continual conspiracy to keep our current medical system on its throne as GOD? I don't understand why we need research...we have an answer. All of that money...thrown in the wind when there is an answer.
