Drink Responsibly - An Oxymoron

Ever noticed the beer commercials...."Drink Responsibly"? That is funny if you stop and think about it. The effects of alcohol impair your judgment, and so what are they saying...."Impair your judgment, but not too much"? Also, beer is sold by the 6-pack, 12-pack, 24-pack, and so on....of course the more you buy, the cheaper it gets...Do they expect you to buy a six-pack and just drink one or two? The commercials are very subtly trying to tell you that drinking is a responsible, ok thing to do. How many drunk drivers that killed someone actually set out at the beginnning of the evening to be reckless with a disregard for safety? The sneaky thing about alcohol is that after the first one, the second one goes down smoother, and by that time your judgment is impaired, and you tell yourself that "you can handle it", and your judgment of YOURSELF is impaired, and so you are not being responsible, even though you think you are. Does that make sense? Drink Responsibly? HA Ha Ha.....A lie straight from Hell!

That belongs in the same catagory as "Here's some marajuana-now *only* use it for medicinal purposes." Yeah, right!!

Remember the elderly ladies with the still on Andy Griffith? They only sold on special occasions. Remember the beginning of national potato week? And we all laughed!!
